Things I Have Learned or re-Learned This Week
- I am lucky to have friends and family.
- I'm figuring out what may set the tears off.
- I'm surprised to figure out sometimes what doesn't set the tears off.
- Being around people makes it easier.
- I haven't really felt hungry in a long time, but put a whole pizza down in front of me and you'll have to go get your own.
- Driving alone is really hard. Yes, I am that weepy driver.
- When left alone 85% of the time I will sleep, even when I have a list of things with which to keep myself busy.
- I like to write in bullet points as I feel I don't need to connect my thoughts (each bullet) to one another.
- Poetry. Love it. Love reading it. Writing it helps express how I feel better than bullets might.
- C.S. Lewis was amazing. I have begun to understand some of his works on a deeper layer than I did before. It takes a great author to have your works appeal to readers who are on so many different levels. Read Miracles by him, also The Problem of Pain, read them together if you do, you don't have to read all of the books-I don't know if I will, but just be willing to pair the two.
- I like going for walks, but walking in my neighborhood is harder than I thought it'd be.
- I could never be in the marines. My 'big bruwda' R.A finished his time two summers ago. I can't imagine loosing friends and still picking oneself up and going on still being strong, still going. I have known this fact for a long time. I have never really appreciated of fully understood this fact until now.
- Apple juice from the trees in my yard and juiced in my kitchen is so good. So are soaked almonds.
