How do you celebrate Valentines Day? Is there anything specific that you do? What is a Valentines Day memory that you have?
Every year for Valentines Day my cute mom fills our house with candy, some flowers, and gets us a special box of conversation hearts that are all ours. We always would say that my mom and dad are our Valentines.
Having spent plenty of Valentine Days catering to the crowds of people who go out to eat for Valentines, and make a show if their affection through basically spending money, I think I like the small stuff better. Traditions like conversation hearts and a flower, stuff from the heart.
Here are some funny Valentines memories of mine:
In 3rd grade I had a crush, when I was preparing my Mini Mouse Valentines I had some extras. So I prepared a few with my crushes name, one was silly, another I remember had a picture of Mini asking "will you be my valentine?" I brought both to school-just in case. When the time came to pass out our Valentines I almost skipped that crush all together, then, in a moment of rashness, hurriedly put the card[the "will you be my valentine" card] in his box and ran back to my desk. I remember he ruffled through his box, then gave me a funny look. I avoided him the rest of the year.
And another if you still feel like reading:
The last few years I have been lucky enough to celebrate some part of Valentines with one of my very besties, Tompkins. One year in particular I remember we tried going on a date. [disaster-all my fault, the end] I had worked like 8 or 9 hours that day, and inhaled VDay goodies for a good 4 or 5 of those hours. Driving to pick everyone up and go to our little movie was a little nuts and helped the nausea surface faster than it probably would have [thank you Cam S]. Within the first 30 minutes of the movie I see that I won't be able to hold it in and bolt to the nearest bathroom where my stomach gave me a piece of its mind. The end of the date was a nauseous blur, and even a makeup date didn't go too well [lets just say Disturbia is exponentially funnier when your bestie has been given high doses of benedryll].

A majority of my Valentine's memories from junior high and elementary school are usually not great. Junior high was the time where boys would send billions of roses to Staci and not me. Yeah, I wasn't bitter or anything. Eventually, I got over it. Like 20 years later.
Hey cousin! I didn't realize you had a blog, - I've been reading through it and you are darn funny! Anyways, I just added you to my google reader so I'm looking forward to being entertained by you some more!
