Freezing Fruit

Lately I've taken to stocking up on fruit and freezing what I can't use in time before it goes bad.

My favorite to freeze is green grapes.
For some reason the freezing process adds just the right amount of sweetness to an already perfectly tangy-sweet treat.
I like to add frozen grapes to smoothies and my oatmeal.

Another freezing favorite is the banana.
Grocery stores will often red-band [discount] bunches of bananas that are close to expiring; once they start turning brown it's the perfect time to throw those guys in the freezer.
You can freeze the whole banana--it does come in some pretty convenient packaging you know, though I like to peel and slice them before I freeze them as it's easier on my blender.
When you blend frozen bananas they get really frothy almost like an ice cream that's close to melting or a really cold pudding.
This texture adds a delightful addition to any smoothie.
