Do you Know the Way to San Jose?

Things I Loved (still do) about my recent trip to California:
Visiting Leanne and Marne
I got a few pictures of my Leanne, sadly not many of Marne
besides the one of these two making a fire in that fire pit. (Seen below)
Something I learned: these two gals like to have and start beach fires, also, beach s'mores and hotdogs(they were kosher) are just about the best things ever ever. Yum.
The Beach is Amazing
I touched the ocean- it was cold and a little salty
This picture is of a creative sandcastle-some kids gathered feathers (there was plenty to choose from) and used them to decorate their castle. Artists.
Laci: Possibly the most adorable, loving and patient little doggie ever.
Love her.
Farmers Market
The produce, the people, the random stores found along the same street including a funny named vintage clothes store and a belly dancing supply store (not pictured: the cutest little locally owned used and new bookstore, I spent hours perusing their inventory and am now officially a fan of Leigh's Used and New Books in person and on facebook.)
My Treasures
It wouldn't be a vacation without leaving with more than I started with (those might be called souvenirs?) Books, some from Leigh's, others were not from the bookstore. Shoes are from the same mysterious point of origin as the books (2 questions where I got them).
And of course, my faaaavvvooorite Japanese dollar store (well dollar fifty) with its merchandise full of improper verb and pronoun usage (that is how I must sound to the French)
my souvenirs include:
a Maternity on Board sticker "I am Safety Driver" a little lunch box tupperware with the phrase "I wish it is a good day to day" a trash holder for your car with the mildly inappropriate "Move man, pleasure for your happy drive"
